WE'RE THE GEEKS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE!

Geek Info

Traditionally if your computer broke down, you unplugged all the wires leading from the rats nest behind it and lugged it in to the local computer store to have it serviced. Once there you tried to communicate the problem to the technician across the counter, hoping that your version of “geekineeze” matches their own close enough to come to an understanding. You then waited a couple of days to get the phone call to come get the computer. You went in, picked it up, paid, lugged it back home, had a wonderful time squirming around under your desk plugging in the rats nest again, and hoping that everything worked once it was turned on again. Sometimes everything hooked up and worked without a hitch, and sometimes after much weeping and gnashing of teeth, you lugged it back down the computer shop. You then proceeded to jump up and down, yelling things that would make a sailor blush, then went back home waiting for the call to come pick it up again!

Congratulations! Those days are over! Just pick up the phone and call Geeks on Wheels, your local, small-office/home-office computer technicians. Our goal is to provide a stress free experience for all of our customers. All you need to do when your computer malfunctions is call Geeks on Wheels, set an appointment, and go on about your daily life knowing that the problem is firmly in hand. Either way you don't have to lift a finger in the servicing of your computer, all you have to do is lift the phone and call Mike, Jason or Brian with Geeks on Wheels. We're the geeks so you don't have to be!

If your not using Kaspesky Anti-Virus you might as well be using nothing.

News

Your anti-virus is the immune system of your computer. When it's compromised not only is your personal information at risk but also your computers stability. We have often (as in as often as several times a week) seen computers running the name brand anti-viruses such as Norton, MS Live One Call or McAfee completely compromised, completely unknown to the end user. The classic symptom, which as far as most of you know seems normal enough, is a slow computer. Heck most of us wouldn't know if our computer was going slow or not. After all it's usually the only computer we have as a point of reference. If you have any browser based pop-ups that you didn't click on something to create you have Mal-Ware. It's that simple.

Technically speaking Kaspersky is also superior. As it runs only one program in memory. If it messes up a simple reinstall just about always fixes it. Norton runs 3 to 5 modules in memory and when it messes up it's usually a trip down tech support lane. McAfee can run as many as 12 modules in memory, forget about windows when in messes up, we've had a few reloads from this one. No comment on MS Live Once Call... except ask yourself why does Microsoft sell you an OS that needs it?

Once I went to a customers office and he had bought a new computer, logically thinking his old one had slowed down due to "old age." He had called us to set up his new computer. When I inquired why he'd given up on the old one he told me it was just to slow. Being an expert at these matters I sat down and within 5 minutes had determined the source of his problem, Mal-Ware or more popularly referred to as Ad-Ware and Spy-ware. Also being very experienced in this sort of thing I knew with the amount of Mal-Ware I was seeing that for sure there were a few viruses floating around in there too. He was relying on the good old free McAfee that comes from Comcast to save him. He could have saved over a $1000 on his new computer if he'd called us first, but I suspect he liked buying a new computer anyway. The solution was simple. I uninstalled McAfee, which by the way never really installs with their uninstaller, you should go here and get the real uninstaller. Then I installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus (See table below.) A few hours later, after an update, a restart and system scan that computer was running like new. Turns out we found well over 2000 viruses. The best part is Kaspersky not only detects and nukes viruses it also takes care of a heck of a lot of that Mal-Ware which McAfee and Norton either can't remove or doesn't see. Why doesn't it see it? Well to increase the security software market they need to sell you McAfee Anti-Spy of coarse. How sweet of them.

I'm not here to smack around the name brand Anti-Virus. I'm here to tell you there is a real strong choice that does what it says on the box. A real bit of piece of mind. We've relied on Kaspersky for well over a year now. Issues and failures have dropped significantly on those machines who's owners make the recommended choice to run Kaspersky. We can look at our call back rates and see the proof. So what are you waiting for. If your not running Kaspersky right now you are taking a huge risk!

Package Single computer Three Computers Five Computers
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 - 1 year licence Get it now! Get it now! Get it now!
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 - 2 year Get it now! Get it now! Get it now!
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 - 3 year Get it now! Get it now! Get it now!
Kaspersky Security Suite (firewall includedl) 1 yr Get it now! Get it now! Get it now!
Kaspersky Security Suite (firewall) 2 yr Get it now! Get it now! Get it now!
Kaspersky Security Suite (firewall) 3 yr Get it now! Get it now! Get it now!

NOTE: Two anti-virus are not better than one. If you run Kaspersky with any other Anti-Virus on the system it will crash or hang so be certain to remove the old before installing Kaspersky. Don't believe the hype, Vista is not super safe so run it on that too!

McAfee Uninstaller
Norton Unistaller
